under one umbrella.

This esteemed superspeciality association was founded by late professor K.S.Shadaksharappa in the year 1994 with its head quarters at Bangalore. Since then it is growing steadily in membership and spreading its objectives across the country and abroad. Annual elections are held in the months of May-June. ICC website provides the details. ICC conducts academic meetings, CMEs and public education programs all over India on a regular basis.

From President’s Desk

It is a great honour and privilege to serve as the President of the Indian College of Cardiology this year. I find myself very special to stand on the shoulders of many giants who served this organization with distinction and credibility. This planet has encountered an unprecedented challenge in the human health over the last 2 years and has not yet abated completely.

Nevertheless the global cardiovascular community continues to move forward with innovations, evidence based practice and commitments towards updating education, training, research and technology advancements. Indian cardiology is no exception. Health care is a very complex interplay of many factors with diverging capabilities. Indian college of cardiology, with a very committed leadership continues to create a craftsmanship towards this.

The 28th annual conference of Indian College of Cardiology will be hosted at Bangalore in a hybrid platform with a very capable team led by Prof. C N Manjunath, Prof. B C Srinivas, Dr Sridhar and by all able members of the organizing committee. With exemplary competence Prof. D R Rajasekhar has designed a scientific program with contemporary topics with galaxy of International and National Faculty from 19th till 21st November, 2021. Postgraduate training session 'PG Track' has been formatted for the forthcoming cardiovascular community in a very thoughtful comportment.

I also urge the physicians, cardiologists and other cardiovascular caregivers to connect themselves with this meeting. I fervently believe that this conference would be very meaningful and realistic for day to day care of human heart ailments.

I also express my sincere gratitude to our international colleagues who spared some valuable time to augment the magnitude of this conference.

I wish our 28th annual conference a grand and majestic success.
